Social Media Blog Trip As A Way To Promote Spanish Tourism

On 12 of November a special blog trip to Rias Baixas (Galicia, buy amoxil Spain) will start and I have a pleasure to participate as one of the social media and video marketing influencer in Spain.

The idea of the Blog trip is to promote one destination using video marketing and social media. The typical way of promoting one tourism destination has been by organising press trips, however blog trips seems to be more powerful.

The purpose of this trip to generate interesting content about the destination using Twitter, Facebook, videos and articles, and therefore to enhance the presence of Rias Baixas on the Internet.

What surprises me is the great buzz that is being generated about this trip even though the trip has not started yet.

A few days ago people started talking about this blog trip on Twitter using the hashtag #riasbaixas. From the very cool Twitter analysis tool Tweetreach can see that on Twitter this hashtag has already generated more than 100 000 impressions, which is a very high number considering that the trip has not yet started!. According to Tweetreach we have reached over 34 000 people on Twitter.

I think this is a very good way start to a trip blog, and is a good example to other tourism destinations on how marketing and promotion on travel industry works nowadays.

Last summer I had the chance to participate to blogtripf1 organized by the Land of Valencia, which was the first major blog trip in Spain and had very good repercussion. During the Valencia trip f1 blog I interviewed several travel marketing experts Adventure Girl.
